Got an e-mail this morning from a potential client.
Thought I would put the gist of it up on the website, as it may well be useful for others interested in our services:
"What happens if I have 20 staff on the books, but only, say, 5 working that week, do I get charged for 20?"
If you have a staff of 20 but only 5 work in a particular payroll period, then all that you will be charged for is the number of payslips that we generate in that particular period; If only 5 have worked, then we only charge for 5. (Please note that 5 is our minimum charge - it is the same price for one member of staff as it is for 5).
If we are running your HR database, the £1per person per payroll will, however, still apply.
"Does it cost more to have payslips sent out to us?"
For our published prices, we send payslips to you in the following manner. We give you the choice to use any of the following methods:
Payslips e-mailed to you AND your staff
Payslips sent to your place of work
Payslips sent to your staff's home addresses
Security Seal payslips sent to your place of work
Security Seal payslips sent to your staff's home address
You can find out the prices by clicking here
"What about deductions?"
If you have deductions from pay, or "subs" to be paid back or any other payments to be made from employees' pay, these will be detailed on the payslips provided that we are advised of them.
"Do you work out holidays?"
Provided you have given us your holiday entitlement policy (told us how many days people are entitled to) then we can monitor your staff's holiday allowance and accrual as part of your HR database.
"Can you keep our HR Database?"
Yes. for the £1 per person per payroll, we can maintain your employee database for HR and compliance purposes. For more information click here.
So there we go... some good questions there from potential client, once again showing that word of mouth is indeed the best form of advertising.
I know this should be better in the FAQs page, and I will put them there soon, but more people read the blog than read the FAQs. Right... back to work now. I have one more Monday client to finish before 11, then it's on to the afternoon schedule...
